ENCORE
Encore is Global Village Academy's after school enrichment program. Classes take place for one hour immediately following school. Students can participate in a wide variety of classes. Twice a year an Encore Recital is held so that parents can see what their students have learned. The current ENCORE schedule, registration procedures and scholarship application are at the bottom of this page.

The Global Village Charter Collaborative (GVCC) is a Charter Management Organization designed to develop and support Global Village Academy schools. As of December 1, 2011 Global Village Academy’s ENCORE program will be run through the GVCC. Due to this transition there have been some changes made to the program. Please read through the following carefully:
- ENCORE registration will take place through the GVA website only. You may use a credit card or pre-paid debit card to pay for the class.
- ENCORE classes run for a full semester (January – May) or (August – December). If you enroll your student in an ENCORE class you must pay for the full semester. You do have the option of splitting the class fee over two payments.
- Partial scholarships are available for families who can demonstrate need.
- Payment must be received BEFORE a student can start an ENCORE class. If your student’s name is not on the ENCORE class roster then they are not enrolled in the class and will be sent to Village Square where fees will apply.
- There will be a deadline posted as to when you must register and pay for the class. If you register and pay for the class after that deadline there will be an additional $25 service fee for the class.
- If you register for a class and it is dropped due to low enrollment you can either change to another class or receive a refund without any extra fees.
- Families who register for an ENCORE class one week after class has started will be allowed to pro-rate the class fee based on the number of remaining classes in the semester. The $25 service fee will also apply.
- If an ENCORE Instructor misses a class for any reason it is their responsibility to contact you to schedule a make-up class. In the event that a make-up class is not possible, the ENCORE Instructor is responsible for issuing a refund to you for the missed class. No make-ups or refunds will be given if a student misses a class.
- Parents are given a deadline in order to drop the class with a refund. If you wish to drop the class and it is before the drop deadline you will need to email the ENCORE Coordinator, Charmaine Nicolau at cnicolau@globlavillageacademy.org. You will receive a full refund minus a $25 service fee. No refunds will be given after the drop deadline.
- Please make sure your student is aware of what day and time they have ENCORE class. Students at the Aurora East Campus and the Northglenn Campus will go directly to Village Square from their classroom. ENCORE Instructors will pick up their students from Village Square. You will not incur a charge for this. Students at the Aurora West Campus will remain with their teacher until the ENCORE Instructor arrives. You must pick up your student by 4:05PM from ENCORE class. Any student left in the class at 4:05PM will be taken to Village Square and fees will apply.
- ENCORE will hold a recital twice a year at the GVA campus. Once at the end of the first semester (early December) and the other at the end of the second semester (early May). This includes all classes. If your student’s class is not performance based then they will display work that they have accomplished.
