Kindergarten students must be 5 years old by October 1st in order to enroll for the 2013 - 2014 school year.GVA AURORA: Intent to Enroll Forms are being accepted for the 2013 - 2014 school year for grades K-8 in Spanish and Mandarin Chinese and grades K-6 in French. Students will be accepted to the school via a lottery. If you are interested in being added to the wait list, please fill out an Intent to Enroll Form located on the Enrollment Form.
Students enrolling in the Aurora campus for 2nd - 6th grade will need some knowledge of the immersion language before being enrolled. Students will need to be at the Novice Mid level and above in listening skills as defined by the ACTFL Proficiency Guidelines.

Kindergarten Early Entrance Guidelines
The State of Colorado has determined that students who are identified as highly gifted students may apply for early entrance into kindergarten and/or first grade (Early Access: Rule Section 12.02(1)(H) and 12.08).

GVA NORTHGLENN: Adams 12 Five Star Schools recognizes that some children may benefit
academically, socially and/or emotionally from Early Entrance into
Kindergarten. For those students that do not meet the age requirement, the
District will take applications beginning November 1, 2012 through January 31, 2013 for
placement in fall of 2013. The Kindergarten screening process will take place during April & May for the following school year. Applicants are children who do not meet the kindergarten cut-off date of October 1st, and exhibit advanced academic achievement, consistent attendance, positive attitude toward acceleration, intelligence, and maturity.
How to Begin
1.Submit Kindergarten Early Entrance application to District Gifted & Talented Department.
2.Complete the Parent Survey and have the Preschool Survey completed if appropriate.
3.The GT department will call to set up appointment for screening process.

GVA COLORADO SPRINGS: In School District 11 children must be five years of age on or before October 1 to enroll in kindergarten. If a student is transferring from a parochial, private or other public school at the kindergarten or first-grade level and does not meet the District 11 entrance age requirements, it is recommended that the principal, teacher and a supervisor screen the student as an exception and make a decision at the building level.
